Olympic medalists Joseph Hagerty and Bridget Sloan of the U.S., Germany's Fabian Hambüchen and France's Benoit Caranobe headline the event.

U.S. national champion David Sender, a native of Arlington Heights, Ill., will attempt to keep the title in U.S. hands.

Other Olympians on the roster include Becky Downie (Great Britain), Koko Tsurumi (Japan), Luis Rivera (Puerto Rico), Adrian Bucur (Romania), Yuri Ryazanov (Russia), and Jessica Lopez (Venezeula).

France's Youna Dufournet, a double gold medalist at the 2008 Junior Europeans, and Elite Canada champion Brittany Rogers are making their senior international debut.

The women's competition includes two juniors, American Jordyn Wieber and Romanian Amelia Racea. Wieber took the gold medal at the Top Gym International last fall in Belgium. At the 2008 Junior Europeans, Racea won the silver medal on balance beam and the bronze medal on floor exercise.

Rounding out the field are Kim Bui (Germany), Koji Uematsu (Japan) and Kristina Goryunova (Russia).

Held since 1976, the American Cup is one of the oldest competitions on the international calendar.
