Risk Pays Off For Hall In European All-Around Bronze
(1 vote, average 5.00 out of 5)

Featured in the June 2017 issue of International Gymnast magazine, James Hall of Great Britain told IG that his go-for-broke style is a calculated risk that paid off with the all-around bronze medal at the European Championships in Cluj, Romania, in April.

"It's hard not to ask yourself the same question, and go easy and safe," he said. "But all of the guys take a risk, and that's how you make finals and get noticed and get the rewards. It’s all well and good to be steady and the average guy all the time, but I want to be up there with the world’s best.”

Read “Cluj (Confidentially),” a collection of behind-the-scenes profiles from the European Championships that features Hall, Marine Boyer (France), Eddy Yusof (Switzerland), Veronica Cenkova (Czech Republic), Marios Georgiou (Cyprus), Ioanna Xoulogi (Greece), Joe Fraser (Great Britain) and Agnes Suto (Iceland).
