Dr. Larry Nassar, the former doctor for the U.S. women's gymnastics team, has been arrested and charged with felony sexual assault. The Michigan Attorney General issued a felony warrant for Nassar Monday morning on three charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under 13. He faces a maximum of life in prison if convicted. A news conference is scheduled for Tuesday.

Nassar left USAG in 2015, and was recently fired from his job at Michigan State University. Along with USA Gymnastics, he is a defendant in at least three lawsuits, including one brought by an Olympian and another by a world team member, in which he is accused of sexually assaulting gymnasts under the guise of medical examination.
