2016 Olympic hopeful Rebeca Andrade topped Adrian Gomes and Daniele Hypolito to take the all-around title Saturday at the Brazil Trophy in Toledo.

2016 Olympic hopeful Rebeca Andrade outscored the field Saturday at the Brazil Trophy in Toledo.

Andrade, 13, topped veterans Adrian Gomes, 22, and three-time Olympian Daniele Hypolito, 27, to take the title. Two-time world championship bronze medalist Jade Barbosa, 21, was fourth.

Andrade, who trains alongside Hypolito and Barbosa at Rio de Janeiro's Flamengo Club, had the top mark (14.900) for a double-twisting Yurchenko vault.

"I really wanted to win the Brazil Trophy," she said. "But I never thought of competing for gold against Daniele and Jade, because they are very good. Being with them on a daily basis only helps me. I am very happy and hopeful that more good results will come with time."

Awarded to Rio de Janeiro, the 2016 Olympic Games will be the first to take place in South America.

"It's great to see young athletes competing and winning," Hypolito said. "It means that renewal is happening in gymnastics. This is very important. You're starting to see some names for the 2016 Olympics and, of course, Rebeca is one of them."

Petrix Barbosa, also from Flamengo, won the men's all-around title wth 85.600. Pericles Silva (85.350) and Arthur Mariano (85.050), both from Pinheiros, followed in the standings.

"Being first in Brazil Trophy was a goal that I had set, so I'm very happy," Barbosa said. "Also, I was happy to have hit all the new combinations I did on parallel bars, rings and high bar. The scores were not very high but it's very important to test our new skills. I proved to myself that I can do it."

Gomes is on the roster for this weekend's FIG Challenger Cup in Maribor, Slovenia, along with Daiane dos Santos, Renato Oliveira, Sergio Sasaki and Arthur Zanetti.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
