As the world continues to mourn the 76 victims of the recent bombing and shooting attacks in Norway, veteran Norwegian gymnast Espen Jansen told IG that he and his countrymen are still in shock.

"I arrived to Oslo on Friday after being in the U.S. and Iceland for training," said the 42-year-old Jansen. "The bombing was immediately covered on TV, and watching was unbelievable. What happened in Oslo was unreal and frightening. Then we heard about the shootings on Utoya (Island) and it got even worse. We are all in shock and cannot understand how and why this could happen."

Jansen said all of Norway is feeling the pain and loss of the rampages for which Norwegian Anders Behring Breivik has been arrested.

"Now the whole nation is standing together," Jansen told IG. "We are a small nation and we all know someone that was on the island. My thoughts go to all families involved, with my deepest sympathy."
