Despite being blind in one eye, an Ohio gymnast is racking up medals. Shelby Brown, 11, was born three months premature, which led to a condition called retinopathy of prematurity. Doctors were able to save one eye, and today Brown is a competitive gymnast. "She's an exceptional girl who's accomplished a lot and gives her all," said the owner of her gym, Zanesville Gymnastics. "We depend on her. She's shy, but she's become more confident and outgoing. Our coaches know (about her partial blindness), but none of us treat her any differently. We don't consider it a restriction." Click here to read the full article.
