2008 Olympians Marta Pihan-Kulesza (Poland) and Anton Fokin (Uzbekistan) won the all-around titles at the seventh Vitaly Scherbo Cup, held Thursday and Friday in Minsk, Belarus.

Gymnasts from nine nations competed at the capital's Palace of Sports at the tournament honoring Belarusian legend Vitaly Scherbo.

Pihan-Kulesza topped Ukrainians Valentina Golenkova and Angelina Kysla for the women's all-around gold.

Fokin, the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist on parallel bars, edged Belarusian Dmitry Savitsky for the men's title by .15. Israel's Alexander Shatilov won the bronze.

In finals, Fokin added the title on parallel bars. Belarusian gymnasts won four golds — Alina Sotnikova (women's vault), Artyom Bykov (pommel horse), Savitsky (still rings) and veteran Dmitry Kasperovich (men's vault).

Lithuanian upstart Laura Svilpaite won uneven bars, and Poland's Katarzyna Jurkowska was best on balance beam.

Ukraine won both floor exercise golds, with Kysla winning for the women and Andrei Isayev winning the men's title.

Pihan-Kulesza won a silver on vault, and husband Roman Kulesza closed the competition with the gold on high bar.

At the Scherbo Cup, Belarusian men's coach Gennady Lesiv announced his world team would consist of Savitsky, Bykov, Kasperovich, Pavel Bulavsky, Arthur Kuzmin and Alexander Pristavko, with Igor Kozlov and Alexander Demchihkin reserves. Alexander Tsarevich, the high bar champion at the Paris World Cup in April, is questionable for worlds because of an injured hand, Lesiv said.

"Our main goal at the Scherbo Cup was to see the athletes' real state before the world championships and avoid injury," Lesiv said.

Scherbo is the most decorated gymnast in history, with 10 Olympic medals (six gold) and 23 world medals (12 gold). He currently runs his own gymnastics club in Las Vegas, and in March welcomed a daughter, Viktoria, with his second wife, Valentina, a former gymnast from Russia. He was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2009.
