![]() Ariella Käslin (Switzerland) continued her successful October by winning the 26th Arthur Gander Memorial, held Wednesday in the city of Morges. 2009 World Gymnastics Championships medalists Ariella Käslin (Switzerland) and Marian Dragulescu (Romania) won the 26th Gander Memorial, held Wednesday in Morges, Switzerland. The competition, held in honor of the late FIG President Arthur Gander, features the women competing on three events and the men on four. Käslin, who skipped floor exercise, topped Romania's Diana Cheliaru and Russia's Ksenia Semyonova. The 22-year-old Käslin made history for the Swiss women by winning the silver medal on vault at the 2009 Worlds, held earlier this month in London. She placed fourth at the 2008 Gander Memorial in Chiasso, which alternates with Morges as the event organizer. Dragulescu, who won floor exercise and vault in London, also continued his October success by defeating Jeffrey Wammes (Netherlands) and Jordan Jovtchev (Bulgaria) in Morges. Jovtchev finished second behind Germany's Fabian Hambüchen in 2008. Most of the field in Morges continues to Zurich for Sunday's Swiss Cup, a mixed-pairs competition. Click here for detailed results. winners at Arthur gender Well i have to say congrats to marian, he is truly amazing BUT as for Diana CHELARU (spell her name right!!!) I am so disappointed because at competitions as these she should win because she so young! It is clear to me that Diana is not an AA type of gymnast...she does far too many mistakes...she is and OK person on BB, OK on VT, lately making too many mistakes on FX and terrible on UB! Forminte should work with her on improving the apparatus she is best on! |

Ummm - Pot calling the kettle?? You shouldn't correct people on their spelling. LOL - It's "Gander" not "Gender" |
